Hello World

My first blog post in which I ramble about typewriters for a time.

The following content was typewritten by a human on a Olivetti Studio 44 typewriter. Skip to the machine translation.

Hello World page 1

The following content was machine translated from the typewritten text.

I know what you're thinking... Oh great, another software engineers technology blog. We definitely do not have

enough of THOSE. Buti hear me out on this one.

This technology blog uses typewriters.

Eh? Eh? Whaddya think?

Ok, #0 it'e a bit of a gimmick, but I legitimately like typing on a typewriter more than my computer. I wouldn't write CODE on the damn thing, mind you, but I find it rather pleasing to write narrative or journalistic content on. And that is precisely what I intend to use this blog for. Every other time I've tried to start a blog, I've had

some agenda. I've created it as a means to promote my professional career. I get about a dozen posts deep and realize that I don't actually care that much about tech

to write a full on tech blog. I'm not saying the same thing won't happen to this blog, but I am saying thst I want to get back to the joy of creating a whatever website just for the sake of it. I got into this industry by throwing up pages full of animuted GIFs on Geocities as a pre-teem.

One of my most accomplished creations as a kid was a hand modelling website on which I posted a collection of

photos of my hands holding or touching various objects.

It was completely stupid and pointless. I loved it.

I admit I was hoping to get a hand modelling gig, but I didn't REALLY think that would happen. Although if some internet archiver has my old hand modelling website quietly consuning disk space on some aging hard crives, I'd love

to have that back :)

All this to say that this blog is for me. It's like my own Twitter feed. A social network of one. I'll definitely talk about technology here. But I'll also talk about food,

the environment, creativity, and the never ending pursuit of happiness. I hope you like it. If you don't... well, there are plenty of other technology blogs.
